Icon Competition

So as you all may have noticed, the icons in the map are currently pretty shocking, and either hard to make out on small screens or just plain not appropriate for the genre (I'm thinking about the player icon here).

So I'm going to outsource this one to you guys.  If you can find or make any better icons for any of the rooms, including not limited to the player icon, rooms with tanks, rooms with stools, rooms with the milking bench, rooms with altars, then please do send them in.  The only specification is that the width and height must be the same, the game will do the rest.  Remember that these images need to look nice when they are around 30x30 pixels on large screens, and still be clearly distinguishable from the dungeon tiles of the map and from each other when around 10x10 pixels on the smallest of screens.

If I use one of more of the icons you suggest and you're not already on the donator's list, I'll put you on the list of people who get the donator's version of the game with undo enabled when the full version of release 6 (eventually) comes out.

The one I'm most interested in improving in some interesting way is the player icon, so for this one if I end up using yours, I'll also let you request a new name option at the start of the game.  Good luck, and let your creative juices fly!

  1. Add a pretty, pink bow to the player icon and you're golden.

  2. I have no idea if it's possible, but a dynamic player icon would be pretty neat:
    - hue depending on bimbo score (I'm thinking males would start cool blue and change into neon green, while females would start yellow and end up hot pink, and special classes could have unique hues),
    - saturation based on averaged stats (grey for a sloppy weakling, intense colours for the formidable competitors),
    - value would follow tiredness & soreness (with black while on the verge of fainting).

Is it feasible in a reasonable fashion ?

    1. I don't think it is in a way which wouldn't be a bitch to implement and a bit of a bloat to the filesize. But it's very easy to put images on top of each other, and to have transparency in images. So you could use colour for one variable, and then some kind of varied layered image for another...

  6. I used to design icons for software back in my old life as a graphic designer. Perhaps I'll dust off that part of my brain...

  8. Do you want separate icons for different genders?

    1. I don't see why... it's not like the game doesn't already assume you're at least androgynous or girly.

  9. there is a way to play the game without losing too much masculinity. you end up losing your mind pretty quickly, but your body stays as much of a man as you started.
