Some experimental gameplay changes

The annoyingly small amount of time I've had to work on TQ this week has been spent on trying to balance the existing mechanics a bit. Lots of numbers have been tweaked. The most notable changes are as follows:
  • Standing upright without heels halves the amount of fatigue you gain.
  • You can no longer put on any clothing whilst in combat (an unfriendly monster being in your location)
  • Chances of falling over when kneeing and kicking slightly reduced
  • Amount of fatigue added by kicking massively reduced
  • The chance of asking the skill learning question at low intelligence ranks has been increased
  • The chance of orgasming during sex has been significantly increased when horny
  • The previous attacking code rolled a random number based on your strength to decide what sized dice to roll, which was way too random. Now there's only one stage of dice rolling which makes your damage a bit less wildly variable.

Liquid Types improvement

Semen, urine and milk are now hardcoded liquid types that always stay the same colours (creamy, golden and white).  They are identified after the first time you drink them from a vessel; or the first time you observe them in the game world (this isn't perfectly coded yet but I'm working on it).  The end result of this is that you can now capture and then drink these liquids if you wish to.  You can pee into open topped vessels, and when you squirt liquids from your ass, you'll have the option of collecting it into a vessel.  Milk is obtainable as normal from the milking bench.  Drinking semen increases sex (and therefore semen) addiction, drinking urine increases humiliation, and drinking milk improves with your exercise stat.  However drinking from a cursed vessel causes this to be overridden, and instead you experience normal cursed drink effects.  I'm going to have to be careful, however, that people with watersports enabled don't find it too easy to just ignore humiliation as a lost cause anyway, and then not worry about thirst by just recycling their urine.

There were a few motivations for finally making this happen, firstly it makes sense to be able to pee into a cup, it also just in general makes sense that these liquids could be encountered in containers around the game, it didn't make much sense that milk could randomly be an energy drink or a light drink or whatever, and finally it allows me to use these as ingredients for alchemy.

So for example, some super cool items may only be obtainable by collecting semen that you've been creampied with into a container, and combining it with some other collectible items.

Aika's Random Thoughts #1

Right now I'm trying to code whilst on a train with a nosy shoulder surfer next to me. I know because I saw him googling "test 2" and "inform" on his iPhone (the filename is that exactly so I can work on sfw parts of the game in public without getting busted). I think when I hit compile and he saw that the source code is 250 000 words long he got interested and wondered if I'm some famous game dev.

Anyway it's annoying, I'm trying to code some alchemy stuff without using any keywords that'll let him find this blog or the wiki. I am tempted to let him see the title just as I get off the train though. In fact just in case I do, hi dude, yep that's right this is a fetish game for sexual deviants. And please don't shoulder surf so blatantly in the future it makes people uncomfortable.

Anyway I apologise for the lack of update in this post, but this triggered a random thought I wanted to share with my audience. I wonder how many players I have walked past or interacted with in real life without any idea. Having a mostly anomymous internet persona is a bit weird like that.

The donator had some pretty specific stuff in mind about the subtle things it does and wants you to work them out on your own, but I can say that it interacts with pregnancy and with lactation in some way.

Incontinence

One of my own issues with the current watersports and diaper mechanics is that a diaper's main purpose is supposed to be for when you don't know if you're going to wet yourself, rather than to just have a mobile urinal.  For this reason I'm adding an evil feature, namely incontinence.

Incontinence is a permanent stat that cannot be reduced.  Every time you wet yourself involuntarily, your incontinence increases.  The more incontinent you are the more, the more full your bladder has to be before your character realises they are bursting to pee.  Wearing any clothing of the "bed wetting" enhancement temporarily increases your incontinence, and this temporary increase is affected by magic modifiers, which as those of you who read the wiki will know, includes fluid staining.  Oh and by the way, it's now possible to wet yourself before you reach the final stages of bursting to pee, albeit relatively rare.

As long as you have a relatively reliable supply of diapers, becoming incontinent could be seen to be a positive thing; since while you don't realise you are bursting to pee, you don't get the dexterity penalty for needing to pee (which ranges from -1 to -4 depending on how desperate you are).  Also when you pee into your diaper without realising, you don't even miss a turn doing so.  It's not all a benefit though; when you are past a certain level of incontinence, your player character will refuse to remove a (non-torn) diaper until it has been fully used.

More on Inflation, Weight Gain & Exercise

Due to popular demand I've separated weight gain from inflation.  Inflation now currently feels like a bit of a gimmicky fetish but hopefully I can expand on it and iron it out so that this is less of the case.  Anyway with the fetish enabled. needle traps can inflate you, and creampie traps in the hotel will be able to fill your belly with air.

Currently weight has no extra advantage to it other than counteracting inflation if you would otherwise be weightless.  You will simply be able to gain chubbiness, fatness and then obesity in your arms, thighs, belly and butt.  The old advantage of it being more difficult for some enemies to make you fall over, and the wench turn you over, still exists.  The weight loss drink will attack fat rather than breast size if it can.  I'm considering having the cock pacifier force feed you sugary syrup rather than semen, but I'm not sure about that yet.

The numbers used in the mechanics still need balancing out so that they happen more often than extremely rarely but don't take over the game on their own.  My favourite thing about exercise is that it adds more validity to trying a pacifism run (using strength as your min stat) and/or bimbo run (bend over and let them use you whenever they want), since you avoid needing to use furniture by avoiding taking body soreness damage.

The biggest thing I want to announce with this blog post is the aeromancer.  The aeromancer is a female airbender who loves to control air to form them into invisible sex organs.  If you have inflation fetish enabled, expect her to temporarily expand your body lots and make you lighter.  If you don't, expect her to increase the size of your breasts in much the same way as sex dolls upon climax.  For now she is going to exist in the dungeon, and can never be friendly.  That might change if I think of a good skill for her to teach you and a good reason for her to become friendly.

She will be a possible victim of the fuck skill, and if some pretty specific conditions are met you may even be able to use her own magic against her here, although as of this blog post I haven't coded that.  Time permitting, that might make it into release 6.
