So this took a lot longer than anticipated, but what I've spent most of the last while doing is overhauling how having stuff stuck up your ass works. Firstly, as opposed to just being able to have semen up there, the game can now handle a combination of a variety of substances, including milk, urine, various sizes of eggs, and the magic lighter than air gas that will be discussed more later when it's fully implemented.
Secondly, as opposed to a very gradual and slow expulsion over time, you now have much more rare but much more significant "episodes", where you lose control over moving, expel a sizeable amount of what you've got inside you (either 1/4 [half the time], 1/2 [three in eight times], or all of it [one in eight times]), and depending on how much this volume is, it can span over several turns. You get a 1 - 4 turn warning when this going about to happen. The contents of your ass that is selected to be expelled is completely random, except if possible there will be always be at least one egg, and the gas always leaves last. Overall, these changes currently make it significantly more likely that if you don't play sensibly, you will end up fainting from getting filled up the ass to the brim, especially if you are female, since some of your belly space is taken up by your womb. I think I'm happy with this change, as it actually gives a meaningful disadvantage to the straight up advantage of having two orifices to share the soreness of getting penetrated between.
Finally, yeah, someone requested it, so now you can select a fetish which will cause you to sometimes get filled with, and lay eggs. There are three egg sizes, small, medium and large. The smallest ones are about half the size of a normal chicken egg, and the largest ones are extremely large, with a diameter similar to the diameter of one's forearm.
The throne, the lake monster and the vines will all definitely be inseminating you with eggs, and there will be a giant wasp like monster that is essentially completely egg orientated. Eggs only go in the ass for now, as otherwise they'll massively clash with the pregnancy code and I'm not convinced it's worth messing with all of that. Once laid they become collectible items, that don't do anything on their own but will have uses. There will be several other collectibles to find and brew using alchemy or trade with NPCs, but that's another blog post for another day after a long stretch of coding.
If stuff inside you is forced upwards the wrong way through your system, liquids all go first, and then if your stomach is literally full of only air and eggs, small eggs can go up to your stomach, but not out of the mouth, if that would happen you'll faint. You'll also faint instead of medium eggs, large eggs or air moving up through your system.
When you lay eggs, anything in the way of your ass will be displaced, damaged or destroyed in some way. Small eggs cause a small amount of ass soreness (and therefore potential anal orgasms) on their way out, medium eggs a decent amount of soreness and large eggs a huge amount of soreness and openness. If there's so much liquid in you that the liquid takes more than one round to exit, then that causes one soreness per round as well.
The development plan for the immediate future is to do the wasp, then a couple of other items of clothing, then the inflation stuff, then a decent chunk of alchemy stuff, then give you guys a chance to try it all out.

ReplyDeleteAlthough the new alchemy items does make me wonder how you'll eventually direct the game, either vertical escape with subgoals or free exploration with subgoals, but I'll just leave that speculation to the game thread.
the vertical escape sounds fun, and i would think that the sub-goals could be things like defeating the Minotaur, the vine creature, and other level appropriate bosses before you can move on. but while the game is still behind developed and experimented with, forcing the level bosses right now would slow down trials of new additions to higher levels.
DeleteBy vertical escape I mean just ascending ladders and going straight to the goal, no lollygagging around wasting time on experimentation. Aika has already mentioned before the game won't simply be ascend to the end goal or require combat to progress.

DeleteI'm kind of concerned that this may impact pregnancy more than it should. Late-term characters would faint from just about anything since their belly is already huge. I'm not sure how that actually works out, but currently, a late-term character can barely keep any semen in their ass because there is simply no space. (Which isn't exactly balanced either, but not spoiling the fun like instant fainting from every loss)

Your capacity is negatively affected by your max breast size. To me it makes sense that your breasts grow in size as they produce milk.

By "fixed" value I mean something like: the bigger the breasts, the bigger the milk "capacity".
To be precise, it's not actual breast size, but breast "flesh" that is used for calculations.
A simple example would be a 50:50 ratio. If you have 5 "cup sizes" (That's DD in this game, I think, maybe D, if AA is not "0" cupsize), you can have 5 "additional" cup sizes of milk (That would be GG, maybe I'm wrong)
Note: I'm using the "game cupsizes", not the "full spectrum" here.
Regarding max size: Keep the max size the same. Milk will only affect the breast size while they're not max size yet.
(I'm not sure how complicated this is, I think in Twine it would be a "simple" if-statement, but I have no idea about Inform)
Since the "milk capacity" can reach absurd levels like this, it might require "buffing" the milk traps, e.g. lesser chances for production to lower and maybe larger quantities for the direct injections.
The only "real" concern about this might be that cowgirls could become overpowered quickly by this. I guess a statcap on the increased strength would solve that problem (if not already in place)

While I think this is a "valid suggestion" this was intended to show what Panthera "might think" is "illogical" with the current implementation. It quickly evolved into how I would implement it "realistically". Then again, whenever I implemented stuff too "realistically" in my story, it usually ended up more complicated than "needed" and probably not worth the effort.
So... in short, I'm telling you that I think my suggestion is good overall (Who wouldn't? :P), but it might require too much work.
It doesn't have a high "priority" and is probably best implemented when most of the game is finished already. If you want to implement it at all, that is. =^-^=
The problem as I see it is that milk capacity is really just (max size - actual size). Ie, milk capacity only counts cup sizes above what you actually have. This really does make no sense - milk should be stored IN the breasts, and force them to expand only once the capacity is exceeded.
DeleteThe other problem I see with the breast size/milk capacity is that it makes it nearly impossible to benefit from the cowgirl class. As breast size gradually increases, milk capacity decreases, meaning the benefit from stored milk to strength from the cowgirl class always goes down as the game goes on (as milk capacity always goes down as breast size increases, so strength benefit will *always* decrease as the game goes on, and reducing max breast size with points makes this problem worse faster).

Having big breasts does seem to be pretty rough in their own right. The weight, limited wardrobe, activating pressure plates when crawling, increased bimbo rating, and reduced damage.
I feel like the breasts could use some reworking, I too think its a bit strange that max size breasts can do nothing more than dribble milk when lactating. Perhaps instead of expanding the size of the breasts, the milk variable can act to increase their weight? it would still work as a negative towards the player, increasing fatigue, and we get our milk soaked cowgirls :)

Well, the "problem" at hand is that aika wants milk to contribute towards breast size as well. I mean... the milk has to occupy space somewhere.

The breast weight is calculated by the game already. I'm not sure if aika just uses breast size or already breaks it up depending on "filling".
Another way to go about it would be like the male/female choice. If you go female, part of your stomach gets "sectioned off" for the womb.
So... for lactation that would mean that a "milk storage" gets "sectioned off" from the breasts. I'm not sure if it's intended like that since it would mean that the max size is "lowered" if you can avoid milk or regularly visit the bench.
(Either that or somehow find pics of even more absurdly huge boobs, which I don't see happending)
So... let's see if I can shorten my "suggestions"...

Good ideas. My thoughts:
Delete1. Interesting idea - kind of like the milk fills in the gaps around the tissues. Might just mean weight is calculated off milk and breast size, as opposed to just being taken straight from breast size = weight.
2. Sectioning off cups could work, but would probably make more sense if larger sizes had a greater capacity for more milk units. That is, going F to G, is a larger increase in capacity than going B to C in terms of volume.
3 (or 2.5). Also could work, but would involve needing extra sizes (and images) above 'unreal' size. Also would probably benefit from the larger cup sizes = greater milk capacity above.

The question whether the milk storage is "extra" or "part of existing boob size" still remains. I also honestly don't see the "extra sizes" as a viable option. It's just a simple logical conclusion: If you want milk to affect breast size (which aika does, afaik), you'll have to consider max size as well.
So far only my first suggestion and the current implementation keep the max breast size "constant" in all instances. The other two suggestions have differing max sizes depending on the lactation fetish toggle and whether or not you go "flesh-only". (Which is kind of unlikely with the fetish enabled, but gotta cover all the bases as a developer)

ReplyDeleteI really think the belly size limit is too small though - esp for females. It doesn't make sense to me that your ass can hold more then your womb- whole babies can fit in there after all (after some stretching, to be sure). Perhaps bump the total limit up 20 or 25% for females to compensate for having two orifices to fill - with increased weight to compensate.
Also, I can't seem to get immobilized anymore in the latest version. 10 inch heels, hand and anklecuffs, max size breasts and belly, no strength and still can get up and walking around with only a couple tries. Getting pinned to the ground and abused by random passing monsters was one of my favorite ways to lose and I was sad that it doesn't work anymore.
Maybe there's some way to address both of these as part of the 'extreme proportions' fetish.
