Sorry for the lack of updates, my new job needs me to start earlier than planned so I've been packing and moving, and I don't have a desk for my desktop yet in my new place. Everything will be returning to some level of normal soon.
Have you considered lots of small updates rather than few big ones? If you have, then what's the reasoning behind releasing all the changes in one big update? I'm more puzzled than irritated, so please don't take this the wrong way :)
It takes a lot of effort to remove all my debugging code, and in general to bring the game back to what could be considered a "stable" release. It then takes a nonzero amount of time (like 30 minutes but still it adds up) to upload the file and edit all the relevant pages to point to the new version.
Also I'm often working on more than one feature at a time, and will have blocks of code or flavour text just marked with "TODO", which all need to be completed before I can upload a public facing version.
Also, some people love to complain about imbalance / discuss in depth the current state of a feature / submit minor bug reports when I upload an interim version, which is annoying to sift through.
Take all the time you need. We appreciate the update. :D
ReplyDeleteGood luck with life!
ReplyDeleteWhat's "normal"? lol
ReplyDeleteAika's still not dead - good update
ReplyDeleteGood luck with EVERYTHING :)
ReplyDeleteA happy Aika is a happy game.
