Sex Addiction vs Cum Addiction

Interrupting the alchemy updates briefly as this is important to note before the next elixir I discuss.

Until now, these have been the same statistic that increases as you ingest semen and as you orgasm.  However I have now separated these into two different stats that are completely independent.

Cum addiction is now purely to do with semen; it increases by ingesting semen and adds to your bimbo meter and after a few ranks it allows you to request / accept drinks of semen from NPC's like the guard who can do so.  High levels of cum addiction cause you to automatically drop to your knees against some enemies who you know can fill you with semen.  When you have maximum cum addiction, further increases cause your sex addiction meter to increase instead - the thought and smell of semen now uncontrollably arouses you!

Sex addiction is now purely to do with submissive sex and orgasms.  Every time you orgasm shamefully and some of the time you orgasm from masturbating, you gain sex addiction.  Low ranks in sex addiction doesn't mean you don't like sex, it means you like being "on top" during sex, i.e. not any of the sex you'll encounter from NPC's in trap quest.  Medium ranks in sex addiction makes you periodically become horny, which requires you to masturbate to remove.  Your intelligence is slightly lowered when horny.  Higher ranks in sex addiction allow you to become very horny, which happens after being horny for a while.  This results in an even greater amount of intelligence loss.  Even higher ranks in sex addiction allow you to become extremely horny.  When extremely horny, your intelligence has a maximum value of 3; you really can't think of anything but finding a way to orgasm right now.  When extremely horny, any vaginal or anal soreness increase causes an instant shameful orgasm.

Higher sex addiction means that you become horny again faster, and also that you might drop automatically in front of dominant NPCs.  At maximum sex addiction, any further increases causes you to lose intelligence.  At 1 intelligence, any further increase causes instant game loss.

Also remember that masturbating has a chance of increasing sex addiction (this chance gets lower and lower the more sex addiction you already have).  So when horny, you have to weigh up the intelligence penalty issue with the issue of frequent masturbation increasing your sex addiction even further.  Also the sooner you masturbate after your previous masturbation session, the more likely you are to cause a chastity cage to spawn.  And then you'll have no way to deal with your horniness at all except, getting things to fuck you in the ass.

  2. Will there be a way to decrease this addiction as well?
    More and more there only seems to be added features and mechanics that turn you into a braindead bimbo.
    Seems to be that if you want to have any chance of winning and/or retain any capacity for high-level thinking, you HAVE to avoid fighting any enemies, never wear any clothes, or loot any treasure in fear of setting off a trap.

    Maybe I misunderstood something?
    Is this a game where you just have to see how long you can survive in the virtual reality, or will you actually be capable of winning the game?

    1. No, it's possible to win:

      - You don't have to avoid fighting enemies, you just need to pick when and where to fight. Think of it more like a survival horror game. If you're going to attack something, make sure you're not injured as possible, you're only fighting one at a time (checking for nearby enemies), and if you have to run away that you've got a clear escape path (not running through trapped rooms).

      - Clothing and potions are necessary but risky due to curses more than anything else. Potions dropped from monsters are always (I think blessed) and if you're going to put on clothes you're unsure of know where the altar is. Heels are needed for combat, but you need to build skills - start with small heels first.

      - Dignity often takes a hit from various clothes, and events, but you can mitigate loss by not wearing anything your character reads as being 'slutty'. You have a one-in-game chance of it going back up with the white wall, and dominant sex can balance out issues with it too.

      - ALWAYS check containers for traps.

      - Pick chalices as your preferred container until you know what potions are what. Unless cursed, they'll absorb a curse from a potion, but they can't be sealed (spill when dropped).

      - What is going to get you in the end is losing combat too often, or taking 'desperate' choices, such as drinking known cursed potions because their downside is better than the STR loss from thirst, or resting on a bench so you can walk again at the risk of a monster coming by while you're vulnerable (particularly if it's the milking bench). That sort of thing will cause you to lose, so you have to plan (not always possible).

      All in all, it is a rogue-like, so winning is based on chance, so you have to play smart, but it is possible. The first time I beat the minotaur I had lactation on, white potions were potions of might (so infinite supply there) and the milking bench, shop and altar spawned within 5 rooms of each other.

      That said, a bunch of people love the TF aspects of a the game and will use the potions/curses to deliberately lose. I like both, so I try to play to win and enjoy it when it becomes apparent that won't happen.

    2. I used to think the same at first (avoid everything) but after playing a while I realised that some tricks are easier to deal with than others. So I slowly integrated those to my playstyle and now I can tank the minotaur in most of my games (and the other runs are satisfying for other reasons).

      Starting incased in latex helped my early game a whole lot, for example. Good starting stats from fetishes also delay the need to rely on cans. Make use of the forest altar since BUC has a huge impact and the dungeon altar's cooldown is very long.

      Still I wish chests weren't empty to often... Some rare items also spawn like once every 20 games. Kinda frustrating.

  4. Speaking of intelligence and other statistics, is there a way for the player to check their stats or are they as inaccessible as they'd be in RL?

    1. You can get a general idea with '/examine self'. It doesn't produce an actual number, rather a description about the player's state.

    2. Top left of the HUD has some stats. It uses words, but they're pretty self-explanatory. Looking at yourself covers some other stats (hair length, make-up, breasts size, milk content, body+orifice soreness, heel skill, humiliation, sex addiction).
      Your title also holds information on your current status.

  5. I like how the game is designed and I know it's rogue-like and everything, but I think most of the new systems are focusing just a WEEEEE too much on the negative sides of things.
    I mean, all the potions presented had upsides and downsides to them (not even counting randomly cursed ones) and now these systems are pretty much 100% focused on negative things.

    Just saying, it would be nice to have some 100% positive changes (for the character that is).

    1. Almost everything is decided to require a calculated tradeoff or risk/reward. So the things which are almost 100% positive, will be very difficult to obtain or very unlikely to appear.

    2. Risk versus reward, indeed.
      At the moment, I don't see how the *chance* of a reward is worth the massive risk you have to take.
      Don't get me wrong; I love the game. It just feels like if you want to indulge in just one fetish, then you are inevitably set on a path towards certain failure.
      To quote WarGames:

      If the only way to win the game is to actively avoid the content that makes this game so special and great, then maybe the balance may be skewed a bit?

      1) Most of the risks aren't that bad if you know how to mitigate them.
      2) Because the other option is guaranteed failure.

      I don't think TQ is, or will be, impossible to win. However it should be difficult enough and have enough punishing RNG that me even as the game creator shouldn't be able to win over 80% of the time.

  7. Hey! Don't forget to do secret interactions with some of the rooms too! Like I love the statue that you can suck on and the ladder to climb, and the lake to wash in. Secrets things like that, that are sexy are sometimes just as good as the actual fights and item creations! <3

    2. As usual, be careful. The forest climb can soothe your mind, but it also can fill you with spunk or ruin your ass.
      The dungeon lake is great to wash, but washing too much fluids lures a tentacle monster.
      Sucking the statues heals your soreness, but can spawn the dildo pacifier...

      Double edged swords, everywhere. Just be wary.
